Dr. Anand Joshi Director, Micro-Nano Research and Development Center
With over 21 years of experience in research and development, Dr. Anand Joshi is currently guiding the next era of research at Parul University in the capacity of Director of the Micro-Nano Research and Development Center. Dr. Joshi holds a Ph.D. In Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has been consistently contributing to the research and innovation in his areas of interests such as vibration, nano biosensors, nano mechanics, and functionally graded materials, amongst others. As the recipient of the Fast Track Research Grant awarded to Young Scientists under 35 by DST, Dr. Joshi has lent his expertise in nanoscience research and contributed to numerous research papers and articles over the course of his career, having 50 publications to his name. One of his articles was named one of the Top 25 hottest articles in the journal Physica E: Low dimensional systems and Nanostructures, published by Elsevier Publishers and it has been the most cited article in the journal since 2008. Along with his academic publications, Dr. Joshi has also contributed to the conversations and discussions through conferences and forums for which he has been awarded several travel grants by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Industries Commissionerate and other government agencies. He also serves in the capacity of Advisor, a member of the Technical Committee and an Editorial Board Member for a number of these national and international conferences. At Parul University, as the Director of Micro-Nano R&D Center, he is spearheading several research projects and is guiding two research fellows and successfully supervised 3 Ph.D. scholars.
